After fighting this problem for way to long and with lots of ideas & discussions from many knowledgeable people two crankshafts hurt and using two different blocks I had given up.
Here is a link to my original post on HRE.com for reference.

I was talking to Wes at Rehr & Morrison last week and discussing my oiling problem when he asked if I was running a windage tray. Well yes I said it was a trick kickout dragster type pan with trap doors. He wanted to know what TYPE windage tray, and when I told him it had the heavy screen wire one that screws in and out he said that was the problem. What he related it to was that when the pistons go down they will draw air in but when the pistons go up they will suck the oil off the bottom of the pan as suspend above the oil pump pickup and the screen wire was not stopping it. I even think the oil was being forced in to the lifter valley through the screens there. So I decided this really makes since so one more time I would put it together with a windage tray that bolts to the main caps and will barely clear the rod/stroke.Man was I surprised at the oil pressure during the run now the Qwik Data readings were now really like oil pressure was supposed to be during a run. Before this fix during the burn off oil pressure would drop to 20 lbs in .90 of a second and during the run even with a pressurized accumulator it would drop down. I have built and run many, many motors and never had this happen before. When the new Big M block and oil pan was bought with all the trick pieces and not ever having used this type rod/stroke combo before Brooks 65 rods and with a 4.500 stroke it had never occurred to me the motor now was large enough to pull the oil off the pan floor.I want to thank all who tried to help during this trying time and hope this info will benefit someone else. PS Sometimes the trees do get in the way.

that is why we use a 20385 Moroso Oil pan with their 22163/22167 oil pump. Screens are junk that is for sure.
