Hey DV,
I tried a couple of these links but they say page not found. I'm was looking for the restrict or not to restrict one.

Thanks, Richard

I had actually completely forgotten that I made this archive! I hadn't updated the links since the new site change-over.

They've all been updated now and will be working, I also added the tech tip article on identifying Dart heads and blocks.

Sorry to be a squeeky wheel but the links still don't seem to be working. May just have to wait a little longer. I also discovered a minor problem on the "Dart University" area, when you click the "lash adjustment" video you get the "stud installation" video. Seem like they just need to be re-arranged.

The links weren't updating properly, should be fixed now.

Also, the Lash Adjustment video seems to be playing normally for me, have you refreshed your browser cache? Is anyone else having the same issue?

I don't see any mis-linked videos...

Thanks

You may want to put this in the Chevy engine setup forum, but I would say using a smaller valve spring than what the seat is cut for is asking for trouble. There are so may spring configurations out there you should be able to find one that fits the spring seat and has the correct rate for what cam you are using.

IMO your buddy is giving you valid advice, I wouldn't run the smaller dia springs in the larger seats.

Not a problem
Just use a locator or cup that locates from the guide
The locator fits the inside of your spring & the cup fits around the outer diameter
One or the other should really be used regardless of pad design
For your heads you will want the cup or locator to have the inner hole that fits around the guide .570"
