Been gone for awhile, we left last weekend from Appleton WI and started the Power Tour in Madison WI. My wife took her 1968 Impala, and I drove my Chevelle with the SHP build you all helped with. And Jim took his 502 powered 68 Camaro that you have seen the dyno vids for. We raced at GLD on sunday near Racine WI. My short times are really sucking right now, I am having alot of problems getting the car to hook on 28x10.50's. On the way to the Detroit venue, I had a really bad vibration, which ended up being the bushing in the tailshaft of my TH-400. Got an excellent tip on where to go from a couple friends in Detroit. Lee's Transmission got me fixed up and on the road in a couple hours. Then we started south. Everything went well for the rest of the trip. Got to run at Thunder Valley which in itself was amazing. I made 5 or 6 passes. I have tons of video's, and pictures that I can post in this thread, but here is one of the coolest. It is in the vid in the middle of the page. For those of you that don't know, I have the red chevelle. Ill post up more pics later........

Jake,

What did it run ?

I would look at an ET Drag or a Radial if you foot brake it

Running Mickey ET Drags. Tried leaving anywhere from 4500-5500 off the brake with the 2-step. And from 12lbs-8lbs. I think I need to try lowering the 2-step alot more...............What did it run???????? Cant remember ;)

Glad the rest of the Tour went well for you Jake, and glad John's tip worked out too.

I look forward to some videos and pictures. I've decided to change the setup of our DartTV video site over the next few days to allow user uploaded videos, so if you feel inclined to post them there go for it!

Thanks, I have some uploaded to the bucket, so I will get them on here later today. I talked to Daryl at Lee's and thanked him for the quick fix, and let him know that it not only made it to Bristol, but we pounded on it there too. Thanks again.

I have them, but just haven't had much time. We have been tuning on Shauns talon. Got it at 32lbs of boost right now. He will be running it at tonights T&T.

Got the pan off the transmission, lot of hard parts. Will have to start from scratch on the trans again. If your bored bring the car down tonight. Should be a good time. Jim will be there with the Camaro too I think.

Nice run, how would you like to run into this thing. This is a good buddy Shaun. It is a Gen 1 Talon, with a stock block, stock head, 2.0Litre engine. We went on Friday to run the car. 1st run it bogged off the line but still ran well. 11.7 at 120 something. Second run he got it out of the hole alot better, but never made it into 4th. He was 104mph at the 1/8, and coasted the rest of the way. I think it was on its way to a 11.0 or better. Street legal, full interior, street tires.

What gears in the Camaro, and your chevelle Butch???????????

Jake the Camaro has the following trans/gearing
- powerglide with stock ratio
- transbrake all the time used
-5200rpm Treemater

The Chevelle has the following trans/gearing
-TH400 with stock ratio
-transbrake but has bigger hooking issues on brake

For the Chevelle we got a set of new tires that have the same compound as the big ones on the Camaro which HOOK. Mickey Thompson L8 compound
