Has anybody flowed Platinum heads?
I just put a set of 200's on a 355 but i have the following im gonna get flow tested and post results for people who are interested
If you have a Dart head and have flow tested it in "as cast" form please post part number and head
Im having flowed a 215cc Iron Eagle and If i can talk the customer into it a set of 200cc Pro 1 Platinums
I think this would make for a good sticky

I think you'll appreciate the 200s more then you will the 215s. JMO though.

I have a few sets of new Dart platinums for different builds. I have a set of Iron Eagle 215's for an engine that they will allow me to have flowed, I have a set of Pro 1 200's i hope the customer will allow me to have flowed
Then i have the following that are mine which you are talking about
- Dart Iron Eagle New Style heads (platinum)
- Dart Iron Eagle Old Style
- Dart OLD Dart II's
- Dr. J's Ported EQ's
I didnt post the numbers if the ported 200 Platinums Bryce did and i dont have the flow sheet, I will check as he should have the numbers on file.
Remember the numbers Dart advertised when they came out? With a mild port putting the runners at 207cc they SHOCKED everybody that was involved. They flowed more than what Dart claimed they flowed after R&D of the heads which i think Dart claimed like 283cfm @.600"
I cant say exact numbers without the information with me but a 207cc Dart Platinum flowed over 300cfm. Everybody was impressed with the Platinum head with a clean up port with minor mods
I will send him an e-mail if i remember and maybe have him swing by here and post the numbers or send them to me

check PBM out, they now offer killer Steel Dart Heads fully CNC ported and they are well over 325cfm! Very cost affective and will make more power than the aluminum version!

Jake,
We got some very odd ball numbers out of a set being flowed, they went to .800" but way different numbers and this bench is very accurate, Gonna call tomorrow and see if its 25" or 28" , looks like 25" numbers, Will report back when we know more. He just e-mailed me the numbers, Will have the complete sheet later
.100 65.1 - 62.6
.200 130.8 - 114.1
.300 180.8 - 150.2
.400 214.7 - 169.2
.500 236.6 - 186.6
.600 243.4 - 195.4
.700 244.5 - 201.7
.800 243.4 - 206.2
We can see the I/E % is good, just the flow seems a little strange. Bench was re-calbrated just to be sure and filter was changed and re-flow tested
This was flowed on a 4.030 bore adaptor to simulate a Chevy 355 which is popular for 215 runner heads
Will post more info tomorrow
EDIT: THEY WERE FLOWED @28"

Seems the 200s flow better than the 215s until very high on the lift??Great info, keep it coming..A tech @ dart recommended the pro 1 plat. for my 422..Said they made over 600 hp on a 436sbc...Id like to have the cam/ motor specs on that one...

Butch, I am guessing the 4" bore is causing the flatline in your case. Mine were flowed on a 4.155 bore. The numbers that I posted in this thread were untouched with a2.055/1.60 valves. As you know the valves were changed and the heads were pretty heavily ported. Talk to you soon.

Jake,
The valves are Dart 2.055/1.6 Platinum valves un touched valves, seats and heads
4.030" bore adaptor

I dont think but maybe so
The chambers are not shrouded on a 4.030 bore , maybe has something to do with the Dart Wet Flow Designed heads (??) Maybe Dart Vader could comment
