tall deck intake on short deck block

Can a Dart single plane intake for a tall deck chevy application be cut down to fit a short deck application?

If it can be done, is there any alignment differences between a cut down tall deck intake and one that was originally manufactured for a short deck?

yes, no. it does depend on the intake face and the intake. some just add the amount to the face and you can remove, some have different designated molds that produce a little longer runner. So its about .350 you have to remove so there needs to be enough to keep the face ridgid enough to keep a good gasket seal also.
