A few questions for ya.

What rotating assembly are you running and whats your upper limit on your RPMs? How much dome do you have on your pistons? Less then .200? What fuel do you run when on the street? What cc chambers do have in your current heads ? What is your Budget?

I personally would not run the 230s on this combonation. From what yous said here anyways.

Thanks, Don

Actually, run the biggest heads you can get on both intake and exhaust. The 230's full ported with nitrous will put you easily into the 9.s You should of been there easily with your combination as it was. 3200lbs, you should of been running 9.60-9.80's with only 600-650 hp. Your combination as it was has a problem you were only making 580, with the 250 shot minus 10% that would put you somewhere around 350/400 hp. Fire your crew chief! lol

How well does the 2.08/1.60 work on a 4" bore........................wouldn't it be awful close to the actual bore of the block, if not wider?.............I am not sure are the 230's and 227cnc heads' valves split .030 from std location..............in terms of airflow efficiency wouldn't bouncing the incoming charge off the deck be a bad idea........I am just asking a question cause I want to learn.

He already has 2.08 now and with spray, it really does not matter. I would assume 650 hp out of a 383 is not to bad. Don't know how the heads got cracks in them? If this were naturally aspirated engine, I would be using a 2.02/2.05, but with the added boost of NOS, get it in and it will get it out is what I have found works. No real dyno #'s there, just works.
