I was installing my gear drive yesterday and I needed to install some cam bearngs in my BigM block in order do it. Instead of using the new bearings that came with the new block, I decided to knock the bearings out of my old Merlin III block (I know bad word) and use them. The Merlin bearings were quite a big larger than Big M bearings. Obviously the BigM blocks use a special bearing. If I need new bearings which ones do I have to get? Or do I have to get them from Dart?:)

Yes, the bearings in the Big M are different than OEM ( I think they are the all the same OD whereas the OEM are staggered slightly). I bought the coated ones from Dart (via Summit Racing); sorry don't have the P/N handy, but it should be in the catalog on the site here. Nice bearings, not too pricey at least when I built my last engine a couple seasons ago.

The Dart PN# is 32210030 for the complete set. They retail for $ 62.79 per set. Let us know if you need a set.

Thanks,
