the classic mix of old fords and chevy motors has always been a thought in my mind to try to build one of my own. however, i fianlly gave up on a rusty hull of a camaro that held my 355 chevy drivetrain, and not wanting to spend any money to go find a new hull i looked to the stable of non running cars i had, and i realized my ford thunderbird gave up its motor to one in better shape, but i didnt want to part with the car. i began cutting the motor mounts yesterday and welding the seams in the front end to help it hold up better... should i continue?

oh and another thing i would like to add, im going to be using a automatic 350TH transmission with the B&m shift improvement kit set to stage 2 for strip use. but on the other hand, an idea ive been boucing around is the use of a manual transmission, a 4 speed is nice, but a 5 speed is nicer, the problem is that the chevy ones out there arnt that great, and i do have to live within a budget. any ideas anyone?
