If he got rid of that junk convertor he might run the 189mph that he is supposed to. His engine is making 2.25hp per ci which is pretty good for what he has. He must be well over the rpm for mph verses gear and convertor. But all in all, not bad. We just had a conventional headed 598ci short deck 360cc Dart headed 1 dominator Pro Bullet Engine run a 4.97 @ 2400lbs which converts to 7.76. The engine made 1040 dyno hp and he got 1025hp to the rear tire. Not bad for stock configuration stuff. Harold Crumper is the cats name and he is driving the boys crazy with the big chief. he is faster than most of them. We are doing an 11° Dart headed 622ci CFE Sheet metal with 2 1450 QFT dominators now. We are shooting for 1350hp which will put him in the high 7.0's. Will dyno soon.

Waiting on push rods from Trend Right Now as well as a few T&D rockers that need to be swapped out. They gave me the wrong offsets on 4 ports.

This will be our NA bullet for us when we run heads up no power adders and we have to pull our pants down to make sure no one has carry on bottles! The people find the darndest places to put a little upgrade in. You have to get up on Sunday to race me on Saturday to get on over on me in that area and they better do the same.

If it turns out good, I start another engine for us and will give you the dyno #'s. Scott @ CFE made the best sheet metal yet for me. We are doing another 632 with the Brodix ManEater PB1203 for a twin NOS customer right now. This engine has a little more compression than I like with Nitrous (15:1), but he wants NA power also? You gotta shoot between the lines. Scott from CFE is doing that intake as well. They do make some pretty stuff!

CFE is bad @§§ and has been for a very long time. I have an old set of Butch Leal Pontiac Prostock heads that they did a lifetime ago for keep sakes.

OOPS....... I was looking over the old Leal heads I have and they were done by EPD rather then CFE. Sorry for the missdirection.

Well we just dyno tested a 655ci BBC 11° HOGAN sheet metal with DAMBEST 2-3/8" splits and boy was I happy. 1361hp @ 7700 rpm and we were still making good power when I pulled off. The torque curve was as flat as a piece of plywood. From 5500 to the 7700 rpm pull we never got below 925lbs or so. Peaked on 1 pull @ 5800 with 1008lb. BSFC was .440's or so.
This unit will make 1400 @ 7900 rpm, just did not have a 8400 high side chip the day we tested. My son has it on youtube somewhere? The 11° heads from DART with our light finish has made 25 more HP than anything we have done and we are not done yet! I will find the youtube if I can and post it. I think He posted the entire dyno session.

2.088 rod journal was used with MGP aluminum rods, Diamond 16:1 pistons, Callies Crank, not lightweight either, my brand new 55mm Comp .950" Grind, ½ push rods, belt drive, dry sump, front mounted distributor along with some other nice pieces like T&D shaft rockers, Star Vacuum pump, which with the dry sump we pulled 24" of vacuum with no oiling issues.

We leaked the engine 2 times and got 0% on every cylinder. You can believe it or not but we have found a honing procedure that we do and we get tons from it in power and ring seal. RPM is not a problem with this girl with these heads and induction.
