The Standard Length Push Rods Seam To Measure The Proper Length Using These Heads, Does The Longer Head Studs Usually Indicate A Longer Push Rod.?

Not sure if this is the answer you are looking for. Lately I have been seeing longer studs to insure there are enough threads on the poly bolt to ensure a good lock down. There have been times in certain applications where there were only a few threads holding the poly bolt on.

We never see stock push rods working with any type of after market heads with longer than stock heads. If you check your geometry on the heads, cam, and block you are using and it looks alright, then you do not need longer. The longer studs are there to provide proper thread to strength needed for the hi-performance springs, longer than normal push rods and those normally larger camshafts.
