Hey guys im new here but im building a 400" sbc with a dart little m. it will be a easy 8 sec motor that will live a very long time and not need to turn over 7000 rpm. would you guys like a write up on it. ill include lots of detail and pics. im also looking for sponsors to help with the build. so far a friend at TCI said i may hav them on for a sponsor. but im holding off saying yes till i find a few more.
this will be a carb motor, with e85 pump gas i get at the local kroger. in a s10 long bed truck non the less. and its street driven all the time to local cruise ins and car shows. Ill be racing this year at superchevy norwalk in the main race and the true street class. wich i think ill do very well at.
Just let me know and ill start the build on here. any help and good info is most appreciated.:)

Yeah, as I said in the other thread, I'd like to see more of what you're planning and how it goes. Perhaps you could post up a pic of the motor as well when you get it done?

This will be a easy 8 sec motor build. all off the shelf parts nothing that is exotic. and not a huge roller, loose converter or crazy steep gears.
I run a 32x14 slick and a 3.90 gear. I dont turn the motor harder than 7000 rpm and deff shouldent need to with the new motor. Its ran on pump e85 from kroger. blowthrough carb from CSU thanks kevin. IM going to post pics throughout the build. and show part numbers for all the parts. the most expensive part ive yet to get is the heads.
3.75" 400 mains crank 4340 eagle. 440037505700 nothing more exotic is needed at this level a upgrade would be a lunati crank

if you look at the pics of the motor in the truck youll notice its stock front subframe and control arms. only fancy part is bell tech drop spring and 2" drop spindle with a comp engineering 90/10 shock.

REALLY A SHARP LOOKING TRUCK! Especially being streetable and on pump gas. How about some more specs on the engine

Here's what I use to drive some 25 years ago. Ran 8-teens at 175+ MPH, but not exactly streetable, LOL That's me about to warm the engine for another 1/4 mile pass. It's running a N/A +.100" BB that I built.
