That engine will make well over 800 and more than likely 950 is where we start with that combination. So let just say for fun you make 900. This is just for an example. You have a 3300 pound car that should run 8.90's @152 mph. At 152 mph with a 430 gear and a 29" tall tire, with no converter slippage factored in, you will be around 7500 rpm at the finish line. With most improperly designed converters, say a wannabe converter, you will have at the least 10% slippage. This puts you well over 8000 rpm. The engine will make no power up there and you will have that 900-1000 ft lay over everyone gets and don't know how to make their car mph.
With that said, the TH400 is not needed. You have plenty of power and limited tire. The high first gear will help kill the bottom end to a manageable point and make the car leave more under control and with the 30-40lbs of less rotational weight, you will be way ahead. The TH400 is nice if your wanting it and like to shift. If you use it, this just gives the guy next to you one more shot at beating you because you have 1 more gear change to hit dead on.
With 1/8 mile, this will work very well. putting you over the finish line @ around 120/125 mph. Your rpm range well in line with engine power and more than likely perfect. Your stall speed should be set according to your dyno results, anything less is a bad guess. I would put a 9" steel stator spragless in your car and pretty much forget it for about 5 years. This most likely will be around 5500 rpm with the chip out and on the wood, or WOT for 2 seconds. This is how you really tell your stall speed no matter what any one says.
So with that said, hope this helps. Your duration @ .050 is out to lunch on the exhaust side for sure, even the intake is too much for that stroke and head. I don't know who picked that one but they should think about just how large that cam is. I am not talking about lift, that means little to nothing when choosing camshafts. You will make good power in 1 area, 7000 rpm to about 7400. In the shift, the car will suffer. jmo.

That camshaft will work very well with the spray and rpm. As far as natural, run it and then post what is runs and I can tell you what it makes. I will guess at rwhp being only around 750/800 for actual e.t. The engine might make more but the package will not allow it. The real test is e.t. and mph for your weight. This separates the men from the boyz and all the talk. Have fun and go get some time slips.
