It's well known that the development, and racing of an AMC is what helped Richard Maskin found DART. Well, here's the heads that came from that development.......the AMC Pro-Stock head. I recently purchased these, and am in the planning stages of an engine that will be run in an AMC Javelin, and hopefully, eventually a Pro-Stock clone of some sort. I'd like to Thank the folks at DART for helping to confirm the origin of these heads, as well as answering a bunch of other questions I had about things from "back in the day".

What size intake valve did they run, have you cc'd the runners? if so how big were they, and what do those thing flow on the intake compared to the exhaust? Should not be giving away any Pro Stock Secrets here!

I got them minus valves, but the ones I had that fit the seat area perfect are 2.250 I/1.740 E.. I haven't gotten as far as cc'ing ports and chambers, or having them flowed, but that's all coming here real soon. Here's a few more pics....

BTW.....I go right by your place heading to the car deal in Ocean City twice a year.

They are some really nice pictures and cylinder heads you don't find just anywhere. Hope you have fun with the build. We do play around with the AMC stuff some. Those heads were 20 years ahead of their time.

Hey AMC,
I believe we exchanged e-mails a few times while digging up some info on these heads. It's good to have you here on the boards.
I hope that you'll keep us updated on things as you do more with them!
Let me know if you need me to grill some people around here with a few more questions!

would you look at how flat that floor is and the turn the air has to make, it looks like a 90°. Any one want to take a guess at the cc's of those intake runnes? My guess is 265 at the most, just a guess.
