What do you guys think of running a 50 deg valve angle on the pro 1 325. I have a 2.3 valve....engine size is 540....the cam is a 264/278 710/710 solid roller....its a pump gas street engine. I keept the lift down for more miles of trouble free driving.

Would this be the hot ticket, 2 up my rpm choke point???

Cheers
Andrew

Is that the only change that would be made.........Tom did my stuff with a 50° seat, but the entire runner has been prepped. I would think it take more than just changing the seat angle. Good question??? :) But I am thinking there is more to it than just a vj.

It would work better on the exhaust, not the intake, your not going to really see any noticeable difference because you are going to have a pretty large head for a 540 and the rpm will be down. 50-52-55-60° degree stuff is pretty much mainly for racing out and higher rpm stuff where air speed causing a major affect from the angle itself. rolling that over makes the bump and transition a shorter pulse. Using the rolled radia valve job will help some!

I hate to say it, but, I have seen some pretty messed up valve jobs right from the jump start. I will say a properly prepared head with a good stock valve job will make more power than any angle valve job that is not right.

finding someone who can really do a nice valve job is pretty rare these days. So when your all done, let us know how you make out.
