I prefer the T&D due to the forced oiling they offer.

I have run Jesels in the past and there is nothing wrong with them, but I am going to T&D's. I have talked the T&D and they are really good to deal with, Jesel not so good. I also like the spring oiler option, I'm ordering a set tommorow.
My 2 cents

Working on some different 23 degree stuff, T&D told me no way. Crower worked it out. It took some time but oh well. T&D is nice stuff I ran it on my last engine but now I have to switch to valve cover mounted oilers.

T&D had some bad roller tip problems where we were loosing one two and even 3 rockers just on break in with good lube. Nothing we done fixed it and after 6 or 7 engines, we got real tired of pulling heads off and had to lash cap everything. I purchased extra rockers and still have 2 extra sets laying around. We went to Jesel and never had a problem, NOT ONE FAILURE. I took it upon myself and measured everything up and T&D's stuff was three times as tight and very little clearance on the pin and roller tip. YES roller bearing tips worked well but that was only after we had problems. This was not isolated to just us, everybody had problems.
T&D always repaired the rockers right away but offered no shipping recovery or help with pulling the heads and labor as well as gaskets. NOTHING. The new sets, we have had no problems with as I suspect they have fixed the problem. Either their lube or their clearance was an issue. I know it is repaired because we still used the same HP lube as we have always done. NO problems now.
Crower is a very nice high end shaft rocker as well as JESEL and T&D. There are some other shaft company's but they are the big three. Either one will be fine.
We still use some T&D and when JESEL stepped up and took us in, we now are mostly Jesel. Very fast service and NASCAR quality for a reason!

I heard about the roller tips too, but haven't seen it. A buddy had it happen. They fixed it, but like you said, it was on the owners dime. Mine last year were fine. No issues. Must have been lucky.

Now you guys are not giving me a warm feeling about the T&D stuff:eek: Well I guess you take chances with everything that has to do with racing.
I'm still going with the T&D

Im sure you will be fine Corey. I put alot of miles on mine last year, with no issues at all. I am going to put them on the wifes 383, and run them some more. :) I am excited to see these crower rockers though.

Well, I just put an order in for a set of T&D's. I got the spring oilers and needle bearing roller tips. If the needle bearings are an option what do they give you standard? I forgot to ask when we were talking. Were the standard non needle bearing rollers the ones that were failing?

We never had any problems with the roller bearing tip. It was a major pain in the butt but we got thew it but seriously scarred. I was so gun shy I changed my whole assembly procedure. We are back to normal and the roller bearing tip is nice.

Update ,I just received the T&D Rockers I ordered and I am going to say, all the good things people on this board have been saying about T&D stuff was definatly true. These are a very nice set of rockers, I like the way the exhaust stands bolt to the intake stands. You usually have to weld the Jesels together.
I highly recommend the T&D stuff.

Hmm when i build/have the new engine built i may consider these as a viable option to my rocker situation.

They are not giving them away but the extra expense is well worth it IMO.

Don't want to scare you but all them pretty girls out there walking around have some nasty stuff to offer. What you see is fine, but when you have to pull the heads back off to tip the valves, you will be screaming.
I now always use Lash Caps just in case a roller tip takes a __it. It happens on break in only. If the engine made it threw break in, there were no issues hardly @ all. Had a couple break in the field but your gonna have that whether or not you like it. The only thing about lash caps are the push rod is that much longer. I hate it but the best of the worst overcame the work I had to do with the tips.
I have NEVER had a Jesel tip fail @ any time on the dyno or in the field. T&D makes some killer stuff but all the Nascar boys and most every Pro stock and comp eliminator stuff is JESEL. There is a reason. Those boys @ Jesel are professional and very know their stuff. Just look what JESEL offers? They do a lot more than just shaft rockers. We don't have to weld anything! I hope T&D has corrected their ooooooooooooops stuff. As always, the customer has to pay.
