Getting back to putting things together. Will run in the spring.Tried to install timing chain.Crank gear is perfect @ 1 TDC.When cam gear is aligned at dots, the dot is on the left side of the actual centre line?As compared to the balancer bolt. Also rubs on cam retainer round head TORX bolts.Only conclusion is WRONG TIMING SET? Last time I did this with flat tappet, dots were perfect. This is hydralic roller transplant, everything.PS,that was the number from COMP.:(OK one problem solved, engine was not on stand square.Dots much better, but still scruffing noise when rolled over cam retainer bolts?

you should check behind the timing gear on the top of the oil galley and make sure the back of the cam gear is not rubbing the block. We have to machine the block all the time up there when using these types of timing sets.
