If this is a drag only truck, you could mount a small fuel cell up front. Solves alot of problems with placing the cell in the back. You only need a 2-3 gal cell. One problem this will solve is trying to push that column of fuel foward to your carb while launching. Works the pump alot less. Plus....your under the hood between every round anyways. So it's kind of a convence to not have to take a rear deck lid off.
I'f you noticed Pro Stock has been doing this for years.
Alot of friends and I run mech. fuel injection. We started doing it years ago cause we could eliminate the surge tank and the rear pump and cel in the back. Saved us alot of unnecessary time and money.

The proper pump would be an old red or blue holley. Personally the black pump will be overkill, but if you want to use a little NOS or something your covered. The Edelbrock 8192, I think that is the # is all you would need. Take the fuel from the sump to the pump, usually with 6"-12" from the tank with a #10 an, from the pump to the front, use a #8 line to the bottom of the regulator, then the Edelbrock regulaor kit has #6 to the carb. This is the proper fuel plumbing. Don't use a front mounted fuel pump, especially electric, electric pumps are made to push not pull. Put a #8 Russel or after market in line fuel filter right on the # 8 off the regulator so the fuel can be filtered. It also makes for easy cleaning every month of so. This system right here will support 800 hp with no problems.
