If anyone feels so inclined, let me know where you first learned about the platinum heads as well.

The National Dragster was where I first read anything on them. Heard about them through some engine building friends before that.

Read about them in an article late last year about wet-flow testing. It was either in Super Chevy or Chevy HiPerformance. I later saw a dedicated article about them in 1 of those 2 mags (sorry but I buy both interchangeably so they kinda mesh as to who wrote what).

I was using the Dart's for a long time then i looked in the book and saw heads that ended with a "P" and i called to see what they were. I thought what the heck, i will give them a try and it was on a customers car, the car exceeded our expectations, the throttle response was better that what we thought it would be.

He ended up blowing the engine up because he wanted a high compression engine on the street, he got it BUT he started running pump gas in it and that didnt last but a few days until he hit it 1 time, boom. It was a 355cid with 12:1 KB pistons and Childs&Albert piston rings with a Scat crank and GM rods, 6,500rpm engine. 200cc Platinum heads

My engine builder, Pat Musi, said to use the Dart Pro1 Plats on the motor he was building. I also heard about them from another builder I spoke to. If the first builder didn't mention it, I never would have known about it.

The internet is a TERRIBLE place for research as most forums are filled with idiots. Present company excluded.
