Chile Miner rescue

How about the rescue of the Miners in Chile???!!! Wasn't that a great job by everyone down there? Chile did a great job and I'm proud of everyone who chipped in and helped.

I almost deleted this thread without even checking the author, and then I saw it was you ;) I have been reading it in the paper, and I think they are doing a very good job.

I don't know if I could stand being in that tube for an hour. I think they said it was 24 or 26 inches around. :eek:

We have been watching it on Fox News for the last 24 hours. Their first miner was out last night at 10pm central time and the last miner was out tonight right when I posted this thread at 7:58 pm .

Nevermind, I am watching the news now, it says as of 9:00 central, they bringing up the members of the rescue team.

Must feel damn good to get out into the fresh air for those guys... I can only imagine how harrowing it was being stuck 700 meters underground for two months.

Glad to see the extraction went well!
