I have roller-tip stamped rockers right now of an unknown ratio and was wanting to get some nice aluminum 1.6 rollers when my new cam and heads go on my SBC. Is there a downside to using the 1.6 ratio? I figured it would be a nice little bump in power without much detriment. Nothing ain't free so I imagine there are some disadvantages.

It will change your camshaft lift, so you will want to check your clearances just to be sure.
Other than that, there's no real downside.

yes you'll need to pay attention to these clearences. Retainer to guide, piston to valve , have seen some pushrod to guide problems in the past, and Coil bind on your springs.
You'll also want to look at the way your new rockers wipe across your valve tips. Probably need to adjust your pushrod length. All these are very easy checks to do. If you need any help feel free to ask. We are more then happy to help out. Need to do all these checks before your final assembly. Best to find it before assembly then after and have to take it apart again.
More then likely your piston to valve will be ok. But you ought to learn how to do that check for future gear heading.
