I am currently running a 347 flat top motor with the dart 195 heads and absolutely love it. My 408 is on its way and I will be swapping the cam and heads from my 347 over to the 408. Cam was ground with the future 408 in mind so I am not to worried about the cam being a miss match. However I am wondering how restrictive the 195 heads wll be on the 408. Here are the cam specks
610 lift (int & exh)
248 258 @050
111 LC
408 will have 10.7 to 1 with the 62 cc heads (identical to my flat top 347)
Super victor with a 830 Pro systems carb.

My current combo made max power at 6900 and peak tq at 5200.

Wondering if these heads will still make power that high up in the RPM range with the same cam?

Peak power was 468 (flywheel) which made me a believer in these heads, however 60 more cubes is a ton of more air flow.

Thoughts??????

I think you will find the 195 Pro1's on a 408 to be a very good combination. Do a port match and make sure the bowls are cleaned up and you should have a nice performer.
