Just got a new set of dual springs , 250 @ 2.000" and new titanium retainers. The question is the inner spring to retainer dimensions are not even close. The retainer is .100 smaller than inner spring id. Should i be concerned? Thanx

The springs should fit the retainer fairly close. Most of the time pictures are better than words, so go to the Manley Performance web site, click on Master Catalog/Cylinder Head Components, scroll about 2/3 the way down and you will see how retainers are sized so they will fit the springs. All the retainer manufactures have this information available, I only refered you to Manley because they have the best pictures.

So I have just purchased a set of Dart 18 degree heads for my 406 SBC. When I see the 15 degree heads that are offered I am curious if they are a head offered for smaller cube motors because they are able to get the chambers down smaller or are there any real advantage over a 18 deg with the similar layout of the head and a few degrees different valve angle. When do you choose the 15 deg head over the 18?
