This is on a 2002 Z-28. I put Hotchkis lowering springs on this when it was new. Well for some really odd reason one of the springs broke. Ive never seen it before especially on a vehicle thats stored 6+ months out of the year, with only 50k miles (24k on the springs) on the clock. I emailed Hotchkis and they sent out new springs immediately. Now im pondering putting the stock springs back on the car since i now have Long Tube SLP stainless headers on it. With about 2 inches of clearance between the exhaust and the ground it might be a good idea to put the stock springs back in to prevent further damage.
I sure do like the ride and the feel of those springs though. I suspect that the fact that i dont have bumpsteer tie rod ends installed, im wondering if that may have helped with the demise of my rack and pinion (a bearing went out on the drivers side of the rack).

Thanks for the opinions..

Keep it low if you like it there. Fix the exhaust.
