I am looking at replacing my old Dart 320 heads with a new set. I have a 511" Blown Alcohol Chevy engine in a Top Sportsman Car. I would like to go with a 410Head or at least a 360 Full port. My question is will these heads work with the smaller bore I run (4.375)? I assume they want a min of 4.5 for naturally asperated to keep the valves unshrouded, but is this a real problem with a blown motor. I use a 14-71 Hi Helix retro, my thoughts are that the blower should cram the air in the well, small bore or not.
Any advice would be helpfull.
Thanks
Corey

You won't like what you have to do to get these to seal up with your intake manifold. Been there done that. The 410 port is very high and the manifold has little to nothing to seal. We have to weld the tops of the intake then port them to get it to work. You can pretty much stick whatever intake valve you can find in that and it will work. The larger the port and valve the more you will get in. I would not run the Pro 1 castings. Put the 360- or even better now the 380 fully cnc ported cylinder head on your application. Get the solids if they make them. Also, put the 2.350 intake in anything you get and just use the 1.850 on the exhaust. The intake valve on a BBC can not be big enough inmopn.
