roller rocker

what kind of roller rocker i should buy to go with the double spring 1.500 in the dart 215 cc ... the roller rocker i have right now doesnt clear the retainer

It is not the rocker especially with a 1½" spring and retainer. Your geometry is way off. Longer push rod is in need here. Most likely 8"

I jumped to this same conclusion with mine, bought a new set of rockers, and found out it was pushrod length. I had the Gold Cranes, and switched to the stainless rockers from Comp. You need to buy a pushrod length checker, and measure for length. I ended up with 8.100. Good luck, and take your time.

thnx guy i know my push rod are not the right one but i try with longer one and finish with the same result ... i order a set of stainless style rocker ill let u know about it

I guess my point was that my cranes would have been fine, if I wouldn't have jumped to the conclusion. Good Luck

well my roller rocker are cheap stuff and the middle rocker is pretty big ..i know crane make better rocker must be why it fit :-))

Did you check the tip of the valve to see how the geometry was, or are you just going to put it together and hope for the best...................if you are, I think there is a thread about worn out guides you could read......

no no i will set it correctly for now i know push rod are to short cause the tip of the rocker sit to mutch backward on the valve

I hope by running it with the shorter pushrods, you don't wreck the guides.

well thnx guys ..i put the right push rod and that motor pull alots more with those 215 platinum heads vs the 200 sportsman .. i put back my solid cam vs the roller because of clearance problem with the rod and cam ..i didnt have time to take off the motor from my truck so just put back the solid in it with the spring ...roller will be for next years maybe ..hope for mid 11;)
