I have the pro 1 200 alum. heads on a 350 .30 over, when I built it and ran it for awhile I used fel-1010 gaskets. I'd like to use a thinner gasket, is there 1 that I could use?
I dont know about briniling, flattened rings, preflattened or bore sizes. I dont know if fel-1094 would work.

Cometic has .027" ones that will work perfect. Up to 4.2 bore also.

Will the deck serface of the head be ok since I used the felpro #1010 4.166 and going to a felpro #1094 4.100 or the cometic you suggested? I dont know if the 1010 gasket breniling the head to were I have to use the same type again.

If the head has a ring in it, resurface it. Its not worth burning something threw and then having to fix that. Make is perfect before installing new head gaskets.

Ok thanks Bill, when I get the heads off I'll look for a ring indent. Will it be easy to see, any way to check? Will the felpro #1094 seal good if theres no ring grove? I want the thinner gasket to raise my compression to 14:1.

2 flat surfaces will seal with any type gasket. If its ringed, don't rely on it because you know your going to beat it hard and if it ever fails, that will be too soon, so don't take a chance.
