I currently run dart 360's with a tunnelram that was all ported by Koffels place in Ohio. It's on a 588" motor that makes 995 hp with no spray.I want to build a 632" motor next.I have extra Jesel rockers from my other setup as well as intakes.I was wondering what the best conventional head would be so I can run my rockers and intake.I read about 383 oval ports and the big m heads.Where can I find flow numbers and specs on these. If I have to buy new rockers and intake I will probably go to a big chief head. Thanks

Hello,
I need to know a few more things before we get started.
1.) Compression Ratio
2.) RPM Range
3.) Application
4.) Weight of vehicle
5.) Power adders if any ( Blower, Nitrous, Turbo's )
Thanks,
Mike

The motor will be a drag race only motor(1/4 mile).I want about 14-14.5 :1 compression,5000-8000 rpm approximatly. It will be a top dragster or top sportsman car.The car will wiegh about 1900 lbs-2400lbs dependind. The motor will be NOS assisted when needed.I will put a tunnelram on the motor. Thanks

If you want to stay conventional then the Big M is the head for you. It’s the largest 24° head we produce. My recommendation would be a Big Chief 14° oval port. The engine combo you are putting together would benefit greatly by using the rolled valve angle raised port heads. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Big M PN# 16935176
14° oval PN# 18275179

Mike

Dart has the newest 380 cc fully cnc ported head flowing aroun 450 and 310 or so. This would be the head I would use if your going to stay with conventional heads and you want to spend some cash. Your 360 heads are probably close to that if Koffel done them right. With NOS, you should very easily run those #'s you need for top sportsman @ a divisional and most likely a national event. You should be running 7.30's now with that power, if not you have something wrong. So a small shot of nos will solidly put you in the 6's or your money back. I ran top dragster and never used a ported head in my life and could run 7.00's @ 196 with just 1 350 shot plate system with a conventional 320 cc headed 555 with 1 single alky carb. 6.70's with both stages. I still have the complete gear converter and engine package sitting @ my shop. Nothing special.
