One more time on Oil Restrictors, this time with a Little M Block.

Motor will be Drag Only with Billet Roller Cam, roller lifters, Dart Heads. Should I block rear oil galley's and restrict the fronts with .070" holes drilled through the plugs. Will be using a 6 quart pan + filter =7 quarts and Milling 55HV oil pump. High RPM motor.

Opinion's ???

If it were mine, I wouldn't use them..........you have a priority main block, all you would be doing is slowing the oil from getting the oil to the top.

If someone is trying to sell the restrictors to you walk away, no RUN AWAY

NEVER use them

Would you restrict your blood flow? Think of restrictors as a blockage

Priority main oiling = no oil restrictors.

Well here is an interesting point that of you mentioned. Dart recommends restrictors if using a HV oil pump:

NOTE: If a high volume oil pump is used it is highly recommended to restrict the oil feed to the top of the engine.

I also understand that a HV oil pump works best with restrictions, restrictors would add to the pumps designed performance. So I need to think about this some more.

I didn't use them in my little m drag motor.

Think about it?????? Why would you restrict the fluid that lubricates and cools the entire valvetrain. If you are worried about all the oil ending up in the valve covers, look at drainback, Not restriction......

If your running valve cover sprayers then you might want to run restrictors and in most cases it would be a dry sump applicataion as well.
