Bill you said once you would of went with a wider lobe separation cam on my set up, I making seems like good power with what I got, (6.8@103 in 1/8) but i'm looking for more. With a 496 Eagle 4340 rotating assembly with h-beam rods and Mahle forged pistons, @14-1 compression, Bowtie alum heads matched to Victor intake, and a Comp mech roller .714 lift and 108 separation and about a 3800 pound truck. I would like to get it in the low 6,s and the only way I know is a lot of nitros. I feel like I have all the bugs worked out and I'm ready. Can you direct me in this.

I haven't weighed it yet but I will, right now my best guess is 3900#, I changed out the 4:56 and put in some 4:10s. I felt my converter was slipping so I picked up a PTC that is suppose to stall around 3500 according to them with my set up, I don't know what trap rpm is unless it has got to do with a transbrake which I don't have at this point. I lowered the truck with 3" drop spindles and done the old over under spring pad thing. I have QA1 shocks front and back with the front at it's loosest setting and the back about middle setting. I do plan on back halfing it soon and replacing the turbo 350 with a glide or 400 with a transbrake. I did try running a Quickfuel 1050 alcohol carb but I put my old Holley 950 back on, I like to here what you think about that to. Thx.

Trap RPM is the RPM you're turning when you're crossing the finish line.

I'd stick with the 950 I think. With the weight of your truck I'd go with the turbo 400 with the brake. When you get this thing back halved you'll like how the truch works.

Keep us updated with the build. Really like to hear how things are progressing.

what is the duraction @ .050 on the cam you are running right now? What is the rpm your engine is turning right now crossing the finish line? what gear and tire now with that rpm will tell me if your converter is right or wrong.

I'm working on the trap speed but the track was closed last weekend, soon as they open I'll get it.

Well the rear end didn't hold up today Bill, I'm going to have to build it a little sooner than I wanted to, I get it done and get back to you at a later date, Thanks any way>
