I currently run dart iron eagle 200 heads, old style. I was thinking of going with the pro 1 plats as an upgrade on my chevy 357, 200cc. I dont know if anyone has seen the Horsepower TV episode where they built the 383 with pro 1 platinum 215cc, but it barely made 400 horse and 400 ft/lb of torque with a hydraulic roller cam. not that impressive. though ive seen articles on the heads that made much more power, but if the heads are better than the old, that build up is bad rep for the new heads. I like my current dart heads, but looking for more power on the drag strip, currently 12.80 in the 1/4. any further info on the new pro 1 platinums would be helpful. thanx.

Sorry for the long delay on a response here!
There is a lot of info about these heads available on the product page and in the platinum heads encyclopedia entry. I'm not sure what other info you are looking for, but if there is something, list it specifically and I'll do my best to find an answer.
As for the performance of the heads, I'm not sure why HorsepowerTV was only able to make 400hp with their engine, they could have done a whole bunch of things wrong. I can tell you that these heads have been used in countless builds involving considerably more horsepower than that.
Heads are, of course, only one factor in determining final horsepower.
For a better build up example check out this forum write up at PowerTV:

It used Pro1 215cc Platinum heads and made something like 523hp before nitrous was employed (702hp after). It wasn't a 383, though, it was a 400ci.

thanx dart vader, one more question, are the intake, exhaust and accessory bolt holes heli-coiled or just regular threads into the aluminum? thanks
Awesome Bill

Dart does not use heli-coils

Bill is correct, no heli-coils.
The threads are plenty strong eough in our heads without them.
