I recently bought a 355 chevy engine. It has Dart Iron Eagle heads, under the valve covers they have '200' and REV1 on them.also 8L24, other head has 8M17.Am i correct in assuming these are 200cc heads? Sorry about the dumb question, I'm just loking for any info on these heads. I plan on building a 383, first time for me. thanks in advance for your help.

No question is dumb imo....especially if you gain something from the answer. The moderators will be able to help you out with you question. But if you have any questions you need help with on the 383 build, I'd be happy to help out if I can. Feel free to ask here or PM me.

Nah... its embarrassing when you over promise and under deliver.

not trying to sell any, just want to see where I stand.... not to many people play with the darts still not sure why. I love the dickens out of these things. IMO.... Dart made the ultimate 243 head.

Ehh... This post confuses me. Are you responding to either of the above posters?
It's unclear what you are trying to say here, did you accidentally post this into the wrong thread? If so I can move or delete it for you...

Anyway, concerning the poster's question, I will ask one of our techs to identify those for you.

If the head has a 200 cast into the top then yes it would be a 200cc intake runner. You can also look at the end pad were the accessories bolt on and the part number will be stamped along with the chamber volume.

EX. 10310010P 64

You can also see a date code when the head was manufactured.

Ex. 10415CHM8

This would explain what shift and the date it was produced.

(1) (04) (15) (CHM) (08)
1st shift April Day Dart Year
