more horsepower

hello all, i have a 2004 z06 stock with longtube headers. i would like to get another 100 to 150 horsepower with a head and cam combo does anyone have any suggestions. do i need to forge the internals with this type of upgrade

You can get an increase yes, but it will be more then just a head/cam change. It will need some compression and a chip change also. Might even need to do some injector upgrading.

I'd upgrade to the better rotating assembly,...yes. While you're in there add some stroke... You'll like the bottom end that it will give you.

Like Jake says, spray it! You will be hard pressed to get 100 to 150 hp gain for any reasonable amount. Ofcourse reasonable to you might mean 8000.00 to 10.000.00? What do you want to spend is the question?
