I recently purchased a set of bare 200cc Iron Eagle bare castings for a SBC, the part number on them is #10320010, they have a 64cc chamber & use 2.02/1.60 valves.

From what I had researched, I thought they used a stock length valve (4.910"), I ordered a set of Ferrea 5000 series valves for them, I'm using Lunati springs, retainers & locks.

Lunati calls for a installed spring height of 1.75", after I install a valve, the retainer & the locks, I have a spring height of 1.65", do I need to get a set of 5.01 (+.100) length valves

Depends on the retainer and lock used
Alot of the heads i set up for the application and buy them bare, I usually end up with a 5.060" or 5.160" valve BUT i ALWAYS use an ID locator at the base which in my opinion helps

I think for you assumng you got a 4.911" a 5.011" should do you good

What is the engine application if i may ask? If its a Solid Roller cam i would consider Ferrea Comp Plus valves. If its a hyd roller or flat tappet use Dart, Milodon, Manley or Ferrea. For a hyd roller i would lean too Dart, Milodon or Manley Race-Flo or Street-Flo as they are lighter than Ferrea and will allow for a more stable valve train if hyd roller

you might be able to put a +.100" retainer or even +.050" valve locks?

ok guys, I got my problem fixed, tried a Comp Cams lock & my spring height ended up right. Difference between the Manley locks & the Comp Cams locks was right at .100.

be careful of the retainer hitting the rocker with the plus locks your using!
