how do mahle pistons compare to srp pistons thinkin about getting a scat or eagle forged rotating assembly and just curious on comparison of the pistons, I know they are manufactored by the same people but are you just paying for the name with eagle as compared to scat or are they a little better, they seem to be a tad more thanks

very high quality and I think they are making a ton of stock Chrysler stuff now. We doing a Hemi Stroker and I seen Mahle on the coated stock pistons. There are 4 types of pistons all different. Stock cast, pretty much under 400hp. They do not grow with heat. Hyperutectic pistons are pretty good, but the top ring takes a ton of heat which I don't like. The will work well though. The 4032 and 2618 material pistons are forged ofcourse and the 4032 have about 13% silcon and the 2618 are rock solid with only ¼% silcon. These pistons grow the most and usually with stand a ton of power and are used in high hp applications like turbo and Nitrous and blowers ofcourse. Your Mahle pistons are coming on strong now and I have used them with good success. Find out what material they are made of and then compare from there. Hope this helps

I am using the Mahle pistons in my build this winter. I have a friend that is an LT1 guy that swears by them. Like Bill said, 4032 and 2618. I am pretty sure that the Power Pak Pistons are 4032 while the Pro Series are 2618. Take your pick, which one you want.

Get a Compstar rotater. That same friend just put together a 357 LT1 with a Compstar Comet, and the Compstar H-beams. Really nice looking stuff. I have got the standard weight Crank. Just sitting here right now, so I can't really say how nice it is, but I have heard nothing but good things. I don't remember for sure but I want to say the standard weight 3.750 was around 46lbs too.
