I am looking to purchase an Iron Eagle block for a new combo
at present my 383 is making 752cbhp & 680cft/lbs running 12# boost from a 6-71
have 5.7 rods an Erson blower cam and Pro 1 227s with 1.6 rockers
would like to use as many parts as i can from my current engine but need some advice on what ci would work well from the new block.
strip only use in a 2900# on the line car
at present 3.73 rear end running a TH400, single Dominator 1050 I plan to run dual Dominators and 15# from an 8-71 looking to run 8s in 2010:)

400CI is a killer blower engine. 4.125x3.750 w/ a 6" rod.

If this is a gas engine and not alcohol, and you want to run the higher boost, you are going to have a tough time keeping the piston pin out of the ring lands with a 6" rod and finding your desired compression height, I beleive. That is why I am going with a 5.7" rod, aiming for 7.6-7.8:1 static compression on a blown Little M 401cid.
