What is the Biggest cubic inch BBC that you can go with these head's?
540,555,565,572,582?
I am looking to build a 555 or bigger motor, I have a short deck dart intake with a dominator 1150 carb and a 4/7 swap solid roller cam.
Looking to make 900+ HP for my dragster. Also anybody out there that want's to sell a short block assy, I see a lot of them on racing junk.
Thank's Billy.

Looking to build a 572 motor with 900+ HP and was wondering if any body has had a set up like this using Dart pro1 aluminum 345 head's.
The head's have been cut and have 114cc chamber's and are cnc ported.
What compression ratio should i go with?
I have a dart intake and an 1150 dominator carb.
Thank's Billy.

What are you going to use the engine in? Street...wouldn't go over 10.5-1, Track only,...shoot for 13.5-14.5-1 compression. I'd use the 10.2 deck engine on this build. But I'm betting you're going to hear different. PM me if you need/want any other advice.

It's going in a dragster that had a 509 motor that run 5.26 at 132 mph in the 1/8 mile.
Looking to go into the 4.90's/4.80's in the 1/8 mile with the new motor.
Hey, Awesome Bill how much for a complete short block assy.
Thank's Billy.

Build the 582 with the 10.2 deck height. With around 14-1 compression.

My top end stuff is for a short deck set up.
I am probably going to buy a dart short block assembly and bolt my top end on and go racing.
Thank's Billy.

I can kill Darts price on a killer short block. I would build a 565 - 4.600" bore with a 4¼" crank with a 6.535" rod, you will have 14/1 compression and it will not make 950 hp with a uported cylinder head. Maybe 875-900 max and thats it. I am thinking about casting my own race blocks here pretty soon and keeping my engine building practice on the side! lol
