They are getting kind of annoying and making it hard to find and track threads. Isn't there anything more you can do???????

I am looking into some more possible options, but I'm not sure how much more I can do at this point.
What sort of trouble are you having tracking threads? I usually delete bot threads 2-3 times a day except on weekends, it should be pretty clean in here at any given point.

Just in general, usually I just thumb through, and half the time I miss stuff. It really isn't that bad, just have to look closer. Do you know what they do over at ST or on some of the other boards. Seems like these things don't pop up over there.
Like I said though, it really is just more of a pain in the rear than anything.

I don't know exactly what they do, but I have some experience with larger boards and generally they have a bunch of moderators that help with things and the option for users to report bad posts to mods with a button (something I'm looking into).
I'm pretty much the only one managing this forum right now, as the mods really only answer tech questions and nothing else.
I might look for some user moderators at some point, we'll see what else I come up with.

I'll let you guys know if we impliment some more anti-spam tech.

I took it as you were whinning though you lil' crybaby:p,....lol:rolleyes:
Actually Jake I'm with you on the subject. Mainly cause I'd like to maintain the integrity of the board. Dart Vader is doing a great job. I just wish his job could be made easier by doing the filtering automaticly. But hey,...then what would he be doing with all his free time? :o Sent him an idea,.. but looks like it can't be done.

Yes, there were a TON of them... what a nuisance.
We are working on updating the forum software to a newer version that should cut the spam down... I'll let you guys know when we are finished.
