I was just looking for true numbers between a 598 and a 632. using identical parts except the crank and rods. Will there be enough hp gained from a 632 over the 598 to make it worth my time changeing my crank and rods?

IMO,...it pretty much depends on what kind of heads you're running. If you're running a head that won't support the inches of the 632 then you'll gain more torque the anything else. If the heads will support the extra inches then you'll see a gain across the board.

Thanks. Also what head would you suggest? I would like to find a conventional head for this application.

The 380 & up to 405cc head is great for the 632. 385 BMF, BRODIX, DART etc would be fine for the 598. GET ! 2.4 intake valve and your doing something. A 2.3 intake valve will only support so much air flow and it does not matter what intake runner is on it. I have used the new H/Hunter 385 with the 2.4" Intake and that will wake a 598 to 632 up! If your interested in eithe of these heads, I can help you with the right intake and cc for either combination
