Thinking about a 383 with Pro 1 heads. Couple of questions.

What led to the changing of the head line up?

I was leaning toward the 200cc heads with 2.05 and 1.625 valves. Both of which are about a 3% increase in valve area over 2.02 and 1.6 valves.

Why was this option eliminated rather recently. I particularily liked the idea of the larger exhaust valve, especially on the larger displacement.

So what is the approved head for a street/road race 383 toping out around 7000rpm?

your choice could be 200/220 cc. NO problems with a race engine. Stay with a smaller intake valve
