View Full Version : Cam wear plate?

On the SHP block should you run a cam wear plate ( block protector) or leave it off? I am triing to use a jeggs timming chaing kit that has a torrington bearing built into it & can not get the cam lobes to go far enough in to center in the lifter bores. It's about .040" shy.

the lobe does not have to line up directly in the middle. The wheel is only .750. No, the torrington bearing does not need a wear plate. The bearing has its own plate so no need to put another one in there. Just as it comes is fine.
