When you talk about 4.840 and 4.900 bore spacing.Do these heads all take the same heads or is there a differant head or bolt pattern? If I buy an 11.100 block for my next motor can I get it with a 4.600 bore? Thanks

A 4.840 head and a 4.900 head are different, yet can be made from the same casting. Bolt patterns can be the same, yet the chamber locations would be different. You can get the tall decks with a 4.600 bore with either the 4.840 bore or the 4.900 bore spacing.

Thanks

Out of curiosity, does that work for blocks to?

Another question: can you put a 4.900 spaced crank in a 4.84 spaced block? Can you machine the block to fit?
Thanks

No. The number two and four mains are moved .060 away from the center.
