It's been a while since I've needed to know these numbers..... So I'll ask where I think I'll get a reliable answer.
What BSFC numbers do you usually want to be at when running Alky? What BSFC numbers do you usually want to be at when running Gas? What is the formula for figuring these numbers? Thanks in advance. Don

Don, I don't know half as much as you but we were shooting for .450 on my junk. I am sure that one was the easy one.

Yea I was thinking Mid .40s for Gas,...and something around 1.0ish for Alcohol. But I couldn't remember for sure.
Our Dyno program always did the calculation for us after some data was entered. So I never did learn what the equation is. Don

It is usually 2.125 to 1 over gas, so if your .450 now, .990 up to 1.100 or so. Turbo is way more

jfyi, gas btu around 19,000 alky is 8000/9000 @ best. So you can figure from there. GAS btu's are amazingly close even with higher octane. Would not think so but the flame travel in time per octane with proper compression is very close. Alky is slower but still makes decent power even though you nearly double the wet fuel vapor in the intake and head runners.
