I completely understand everything your saying, especially comparing apples on the drag strip, from car to car. I just wanted to get some guys with some dyno time to chime in! Just picking brains.

It would probably be best if you started a separate thread on this too. It's best to keep these issues separated so as not to muddy the waters.

I am thinking about plugging in a solid roller...244,248,@50 .575 lift, 110L/S and a set of dart 200cc, 64cc, 2.02, 1.60. Of coarse other things minor in the valve train will be changed, to complement this swap. I do have a set of 1 3/4 headers and victor jr, to play with. I am curious as to what kind of power can be had with this swap. I am more interested in ET than horsepower, but i know it goes hand and hand....sometimes! I dont have any logged R&D time on dynos. The only thing I ever had to see if anything ever worked, was the ETs and trap speeds. I envy you guys with dynos!
Your mph for the 1/8 is fantastic leading me to believe your converter is a lot tight. Your 60 is down and mph up, this means your engine for actual e.t. is 375hp to propel your 3500lb? car that fast. What is your trap RPM? This will tell me everything. Actual Trap rpm verses tire size, gear ratio will tell me a ton on just what is going on?

I am going threw the traps on a average day at 6300 in second gear. When the D/A is better the engine has to be shifted into 3rd around the 594 ft mark. Not sure of the rpms when I hit 3rd and go threw...I know its low. I run a 26 tall tire. I have a shift light that has a 6200 chip. I know it may sound nuts that i dont have a tach. Heck, I actually raced it without the shift light for a while, very consistently, as long as I wasnt next to a car blowing my ear drums out! Oh yeah the car weighs 3200 with me in it.

your converter is very tight, this is causing the sluggishness your feeling. You would have to make a ton more power to make it stall more!

I always though it was a little on the tight side. After hearing the gear change in the video its more noticeable than in the car!

To really make this fair, what convertor and gear with tire size are you running now. Do you run closed exhaust, this is critical when using larger heads. Also, weight of car with driver, rpm crossing the finish line would be very helpful. 200 cc heads will kill this thing for sure and am willing to wager it. Big heads require big changes to make torque. The very largest head I would go with is the 165S/R's. I would clean them up and bring the compression up to @ least 10.25:1 and stay with pump gas. You should pick up 2-4 10ths as long as your trap rpm is not over 5000 rpm now? Let me know, I can help with any heads or parts your thinking about!
