Default Big Chief minimum cylinder bore

What is the minimum cylinder bore allowable for use with a big chief?? The specs all state 4.5"-4.6". Can they be used with a 4.375" bore?

Thanks

If you do that, you will not see but maybe 40hp more @ best till around 8000rpm. Stroke, intake, cam etc will all play a big part as well as rpm.
