Broken Again! |
 |
|
The record for the fastest 1/4 mile Pro Mod run ever was broken back in August and we posted an article about it.
The team that broke the record was running a Dart billet block.
It was a pretty amazing run, but don't expect it to be showing up in next year's Guiness books... Because the record has been broken AGAIN!
The new record was set in October at the Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ.
Racer Jim Halsey blasted down the track in his 1968 Camaro, powered by a Fulton Competition monster motor featuring another Dart billet block!
He recorded a record-shattering qualifying run with a 5.99 final elapsed time at an amazing 240mph!
Then proceeded to make four more runs down strip, never going above the five second mark a single time!
Wow.

Halsey has been racing Pro Mod since 1991, making the record setting run an impressive milestone in a long and successful racing legacy.
We want to extend our congratulations to Mr. Halsey and to the team at Fulton Competition for an amazing record run.
