As the classic Chevrolet and Ford small block V-8s continue to evolve, we strive to remain at the forefront of that evolution. There is still more horsepower to be found in the inline-valve Chevy small block and Ford designs. Dart has formed an association with Don Losito's Ultra Pro Machining to unleash a new power for serious racers

Dart now offers CNC machined, spread bore Chevy and Ford billet blocks with 4.500" bore centers (vs 4.400" for production SB Chevy and 4.380" for stock SB Ford). Increasing the distance between the bore centerlines permits the use of larger cylinder diameters to unshroud the valves, while the inherent strength of 6061 aluminum minimizes bore distortion to improve ring seal. Our ability to machine billet blocks for virtually any head/cam/lifter combination has made Dart the premier source for custom blocks.

Ultra Pro has produced a new cylinder head that brings out the best in these blocks, and Dart is developing a cast-aluminum version of Ultra Pro's state of the art 9 degree billet Chevy small block heads. This cast version will be available for standard and spread bore blocks. A new cast version of the Ultra Pro SC1 billet Ford small block head (7.5 degree intake valve angle x 8 degree exhaust valve angle) will be available for standard and spread bore blocks as well!

There is still a huge market for cast inline valve small block Ford and Chevy cylinder heads, by combining our manufacturing capabilities with Don Losito's considerable experience we can provide a superior product to our customers.
