Introducing the first ever door slammer to break into the five second range...
Racer Mike Moran's turbo charged Monte Carlo!
While running some test sessions leading into the Gatornationals, Mike Moran ran a 5.97 second pass at a blistering 250.41 miles per hour!
The engine was designed by, of course, Moran Racing Engines and featured a Dart billet block topped off with a set of Big Chief cylinder heads

Mike Moran is no stranger to breaking records. His "Casper" Camaro was the first pro-street car to run six seconds at 200mph back in 2006.
Congrats to Mr. Moran for an impressive run!
