Our new monster big-block has the right stuff for Mountain Motor engines, including a choice of deck heights (10.600-inch or 11.100-inch), a .600-inch raised cam for improved connecting rod clearance with stroker cranks, and 4.840-inch or 4.900-inch bore spacing. The new Dart tall-deck big-block offers engine builders great versatility with variable lifter locations and provisions for symmetrical or siamesed-port cylinder heads.
Dart's sophisticated manufacturing techniques allow blocks to be custom machined in a production environment. For example, an engine builder can specify 2.125 (standard), 55mm or 60mm roller cam bearings. The lifter bosses can be machined to accommodate a variety of valve layouts with a choice of .842-inch, .904-inch, .937-inch or 1.063-inch diameter lifters, with bushings for either standard tie-bar or keyed lifters.
Includes coated cam bearings, freeze plugs and dowels.
- Dart cast iron blocks are also available with compacted graphite. Double the strength without the added weight. |
