The DC5 coating is a PTFE base release agent, highly corrosion resistant and chemically inert. This coating is formulated to shed oil and other petroleum based lubricants rather than retain them. This makes it highly desirable in applications such as crankshaft counter-weights, oil pan interiors, windage trays, connecting rods and valve cover interiors, where parasitic drag can cause loss of power and efficiency.
